I could say this is a mermaid who has just molted, but really this is my photo assistant/creative partner at the time, Christina Macfarlane, during a diving surface interval on the Survivor TV Beach on Ulong Island, Palau. The straight version is nice, but this one has been composited with a photo of old newspapers Christina made. Sometimes we "make" pictures after we "take" them.
Wouldn't want anyone to think Mermaid Portfolio Workshops are violent, but we have moments of cos-play, theatrics and contention. Here, the pirate (Iara Mandyn) and mermaid (Sydney Raye Smith) discuss who will get Eric Jonathan Ducharme's Koi tail next.

I was looking over some files today and spotted this frame from a shoot with female comic and spokesperson Lisa Cafero. We shot it in the alley behind the Lakeside studio and it's one of those images where the photo gives you a direct line to her personality.
