On this Halloween, I could say the Virginia Beach oceanfront was "cloaked in mist." Okay, so that's a little weak. Sorry, no ghoulish costume and blood drips.
Actually, just experimenting with a Canon 300mm f2.8 on a Sony a7R II with a Metabones Sony-Canon adapter.
On the beach, on an island, warm and sandy and along comes this L.A.-based model-girl and seems I can't take a bad picture of her.

Two of these are going to make the Inspire 1 pilot and Zenmuse X5 camera operator's jobs easier on bright days. We'll be able to see the iPad Mini 2 displays sooooo much better (David Haycox).
Just returned from PhotoExpoNYC. Lots of interesting new things. Polar Pro has a much-needed replacement gimbal/camera lock for travel with the DJI Phantom 3 line (center of photo of my P3P backup for i1 below). They also have some clip-on landing skid extensions (one on each landing skid for a little wider/more stable footprint). Also, they had an early but small supply of neutral density/polarizer filters for the Inspire 1 Zenmuse X5 (critical requirement for recording video in bright light). End of techno rant. Sorry.

Oldie: This behind-the-scenes photo by Mindy Hertzon surfaced yesterday. Several years ago, Annie Leibovitz wanted to shoot an underwater photo for Vogue magazine using a Mamiya RZ67. There were only about 50 housings worldwide for that camera and I had one. The manufacturer, Aqua Vision Systems, referred Annie to me and I agreed to supply the housing and camera on a consulting/assisting basis. So, off I went to a location pool on the beach near Miami Beach (same pool Madonna used for a lot of the photos in her book "Sex"). Here's Annie, her Assistant, Martin Schoeller (now famous in his own right), me in the hat and the A67 Housing. The housing is now for sale and I'm thinking Annie or Microsoft's ex-ceo Steve Ballmer might like to have it.
Doing some things at the Beach (Virginia Beach) yesterday afternoon; this at 200'. Princess Anne Country Club (PACC) is in foreground. Waterfront is looking a bit like Cancun. This image is among the last of this drone gimbal/camera. New one comes in a few days and the digital sensor size is 6x this one.
